Before sequencing the outbound load, take a moment to prepare yourself by reviewing the load list. The load list is a predefined list of all the containers that are departing on the open vessel, but are not yet planned to it.
As soon as a vessel's outbound stowage information becomes available, you should review any discrepancies between the load list received from the line operator and the existing active units (N4 client Operations
Vessel
Vessel Visits
Vessel Visits view
Vessel Inspector
Loadlist Discrepancies tab).
The current position of these containers may be in any of the following locations:
In the yard
On another vessel
On a train or truck
In the community
You can modify the list by adding, deleting, or changing the order of columns, as with any other list in the XPS client. For more information, see Working with list views.
In XPS, you can also filter the list by selecting an option from the Display drop-down list.
When reviewing the load list:
Watch out for late changes that might affect the load plans. It is common, for example, for containers to be removed or added to the load list at the last minute. You can review changes that were made to the load list since it was last opened by displaying the Change column (on page 1).
Sort the list, for example to view all 2200 containers that are bound to the same discharge port and weigh approximately 25 tonnes.
Create a live recap of the load list (on page 1) and, if required, create a smaller list or recap (on page 1) of selected recap cells. For example, you could create a list or recap that shows only 2200 containers that are bound to the same discharge port. You can then select containers from the list or recap and scan their yard positions. See Scanning yard positions from a list or recap (on page 1).
If you have preplanned the vessel by using projections that were based on the total load count, compare the container count of the load list and the projections list to identify and correct discrepancies (on page 1).
To open the load list:
From the Vessel menu, select Load List.
The Load List window opens.
